Important Disclosure:
Atlas uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate personalized educational content. When you create a topic or request a lesson, the following information is sent to Anthropic's servers:
Your topic name (e.g., "Philosophy," "Quantum Physics")
Subject descriptions (if provided)
Your selected teaching style and interaction preferences
The lesson level you're requesting (Foundations, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert, Mastery)
What This Means:
Your topic requests are processed by Anthropic according to their privacy policy
Anthropic may use this data to improve their AI models
We do not control how Anthropic processes this data
Using the on-device AI for topic validation (automatic for free users)
Choosing pre-generated topics instead of custom ones (when available)
2.3 Analytics and App Improvement
We use aggregated, anonymized usage data to:
Understand which features are most valuable to users
Identify popular subjects and topics to improve content recommendations
Optimize AI content generation prompts and quality

2.4 Advertising (Free Tier Only)
Google Mobile Ads Disclosure:
If you use the free tier of Atlas, we display advertisements using Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google collects and uses the following information for ad targeting and measurement:
Device Identifiers: Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS)
IP Address: Your approximate location
Ad Interactions: Which ads you view and click
Usage Patterns: App usage for contextual ad targeting
How to Opt Out:
Upgrade to Premium or Super Premium to remove all advertisements

4. Data Retention
Active Accounts: Your data is retained as long as you have the App installed and your account is active
Learning Progress: Lesson completions, achievements, and streaks are stored indefinitely unless you delete your account
AI Generation Logs: Topic requests sent to Claude AI are logged for 30 days for quality improvement, then deleted
Subscription History: Stored for tax and legal compliance purposes for 7 years after subscription ends
Account Deletion: When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed within 30 days
5. Your Privacy Rights

Atlas is rated 4+ and suitable for general audiences. However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

Data transfers to the United States are subject to Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
By using Atlas, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside the EEA/UK/Switzerland
9. Do Not Track
Some browsers have "Do Not Track" (DNT) features. Atlas does not currently respond to DNT signals because there is no industry standard for how to interpret them. We honor the privacy preferences you set within the App (such as disabling analytics or upgrading to remove ads).
