Privacy Policy

Kagiru (限) is a strength-training tracking app. Your workout data is stored on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced to your private iCloud database so it stays backed up and available across your devices. To keep the app free, Kagiru shows ads through Google AdMob, which does collect certain data for advertising purposes. This policy explains what information the app handles and how your privacy is protected.

Summary: Kagiru has no user accounts and no servers of its own. Your workout data lives on your device and, optionally, in your private iCloud database — which only you can access; we cannot read it. The only data collection comes from the Google AdMob advertising SDK, described in section 2.

1. Data the App Stores

Kagiru stores the following information on your device, using Apple's SwiftData framework:

This information never leaves your device, except for the iCloud sync described in section 6 (which goes only to your own private iCloud database) and the optional Apple Health sync described in section 4. Kagiru does not transmit, sell, or share your workout data.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Kagiru shows ads through Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google LLC. To serve and measure those ads, Google's SDK may collect and process:

This data is collected and processed by Google as an independent data controller, in accordance with its own privacy policy. It is used to serve ads, measure their performance, and prevent fraud, and — where you give consent — to show personalized ads.

App Tracking Transparency (ATT) and consent: on first launch, iOS will ask for your permission to track (App Tracking Transparency) and, where applicable (for example in the EU/EEA), a Google consent form will be shown. If you decline tracking or do not consent, Google will serve only non-personalized ads.

You can manage or reset your advertising identifier in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and > Apple Advertising. More information about Google's data practices:

3. Data Kagiru Does Not Collect Directly

Kagiru itself (apart from the Google AdMob SDK described in section 2) does not collect or have access to:

Kagiru contains no first-party analytics SDKs and has no server of its own. iCloud sync (section 6) transfers your data only between your devices and your own private iCloud database, operated by Apple — we never see it.

4. Apple Health (HealthKit)

Apple Health sync is optional and turned off by default. It is enabled only if you choose to from Settings, at which point the system will ask for your explicit permission.

When enabled:

Apple Health data stays on your device under the control of Apple Health and is shared only with the apps you authorize. Kagiru never uses health data for advertising, never shares it with Google or any other third party, and never stores it outside Apple Health. You can revoke access at any time from iOS Settings > Health, or turn the feature off from within Kagiru's Settings.

5. Notifications

If you enable reminders, Kagiru schedules local notifications on your device to remind you of your training schedule and to protect your streak. These notifications are 100% local: no push notification server is used and no data leaves your device. You can disable them at any time from Settings.

6. iCloud Sync, Storage and Backups

Kagiru stores your workout data locally with SwiftData and, when you are signed in to iCloud, syncs it automatically to your private iCloud database using Apple's CloudKit service. This keeps your data backed up and available if you reinstall the app or use more than one device.

Independently of CloudKit sync, if you have device backups enabled (iCloud Backup or computer backups), your data may also be included in your device's encrypted backup, managed by Apple.

7. Sharing Data with Third Parties

Apart from the data collected by the Google AdMob SDK to serve ads (section 2), Kagiru does not share, sell, or transfer your data to third parties. Your workout data stays on your device and in your private iCloud database, and is not shared with Google or anyone else. Apple acts solely as the storage provider for your own iCloud data, under your Apple Account.

8. Children's Privacy

Kagiru is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from them. The advertising shown is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us so we can remove it.

9. Deleting Your Data

You can delete all of your workout data at any time from:

Settings > Delete all data

When iCloud sync is active, deletions made in the app propagate to your private iCloud database as well. You can also delete the app from your device, which removes all locally stored data; to remove any remaining iCloud copy, go to iOS Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage and delete Kagiru's data. To limit the use of your advertising identifier, adjust the tracking options in iOS Settings as described in section 2.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any change will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
